About

At 23 years old, I am dedicated to explore the potential of technological advances to improve healthcare as a master’s student in Biomedical Engineering at the Technical University in Delft. Before my masters program, I studied Medical Natural Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In my master's program I have chosen to focus on the area of neuromusculoskeletal biomechanics. Within this field I have found my passion of innovating existing medical devices or developing new solutions for medical challenges. Furthermore, I am greatly interested in motion tracking technologies and its application in optimising movement within the field of sports engineering. If you want to learn more about my qualifications and experience, you can find my CV here.

Projects

My academic journey has been an exploration of two disciplines: the area of precision and engineering and the complexities of the medical world. A combination of exact courses in a medical context is established to train students to become a bridge between engineering and the medical world. To understand complex medical technologies, knowledge about various disciplines is needed. Examples of these disciplines are: biology, physics, computer science and mechanical engineering. I used my knowledge of these topics in various academic projects.
